Background and History of IHF
Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) is a non profit organization which was founded by Dr. Ratna Megawangi and her husband Dr. Sofyan Djalil in June 2000 (legalized by public notary No. 5787/ANP/2001 in September 2001). Furthermore, it had been legalized by the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights No. 12 on the 31th of August 2007.
The establishment of IHF was motivated by the willingness to create solution to tackle the behavior of some Indonesians that does not reflect good character in the society.
The creative economy era of the 21st century is the biggest challenge of education in Indonesia in which values such as creating good character of the nation and promoting creative generation with high critical thinking ability are significant. In addition to that, IHF has set the Vision which are ; Creating Good Character of the Nation, Intelligence and Creative. To achieve that Vision, IHF has established research and development of the 9 pillars of Character and education strategy to develop a creative generation with high order thinking skill and this is called as a model of Character Base Holistic Education (CBHE).

The Founder Message
Coming into 2020, it has been 2 decades that IHF has served itself to actively participate to develop the children of the nation to become individuals that has good character, intelligence and creativity. CBHE that has been developed by IHF in the form of education curriculum has become motor to achieve the vision and mission of IHF through the establishment of Character School and CBHE’s training. Until recently, IHF has trained CBHE program for kindergarten teachers in all parts of Indonesia with almost 100.000 participants throughout the years. We are very optimistic to look forward to the future of the nation through the promotion of CBHE with the support from all elements of the societies in Indonesia.

There have been many companies or corporations, foundation, organization or communities and on personal behalf that have been actively helping IHF in the application and distribution of the CBHE program.
Franchising Partnership Model
Module or curriculum of CBHE have developed rapidly and have been acknowledged by many parties that have undergone partnership with Character School through Franchising model. The scheme of the franchise has been developed with several options that consider the branding aspect of “Character School”, curriculum licensing, CBHE teachers competence, supervision facility and learning quality monitoring.
Crowd Donation
IHF has developed a kind of partnership that is very easy for individuals, communities, organizations, foundations, or corporations to support activities of the CBHE’s training program with the concept of “sharing” through the use of the crowd donation application feature. IHF will publish plans and schedule of the CBHE’s training program, and all parties who wish to contribute can do so through the crowd donation application.
