Ratna Megawangi and her husband Sofyan A. Djalil are the founders of Indonesia Heritage Foundation. Her ideas in education are the 9 Pillars of Character and the Character-Based Holistic Education model. Ratna completed her bachelor, master, and doctoral studies in nutrition. Then, she continued her studies to a post doctoral program in family and parenting, at Tufts University, USA. Currently, she is the Chairperson of the College of Character-Based Holistic Education.
This national instructor in early childhood education curriculum has been instrumental in developing Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF) since its inception. This graduate of Multidisciplinary Studies from SUNY Buffalo State College is one of IHF's mainstays in disseminating Character-Based Holistic Education programs throughout Indonesia. It is no wonder that he is currently trusted as the Director of Training, Operations, and Markom of Indonesia Heritage Foundation.
