Leadership Training activity atmosphere.

IHF.OR.ID, DEPOK — The Central Board of the Ikatan Guru Semai Benih Bangsa (IGSBB) held a Leadership Training for the first time for IGSBB administrators on September 24–25, 2024, at the HTC Building, Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF), Depok, West Java. At total of 71 people from IGSBB administrators at the provincial and district/city levels from various every region of in Indonesia, participated in this activity.

With the implementation of this first leadership training, the IGSBB Central Board hopes that the participants will have a provisions to lead the organization and be able to activate IGSBB, both at the regional level and the district and city levels. 

“Hopefully, with this leadership training program, IGSBB administrators will be able to further advance IGSBB in their regions. This is actually an extraordinary sharing event, yes, because we know that many of our friends, who are IGSBB administrators have also been around, becoming administrators of organizations, both small, large, and national level,” said Rahma Dona, IGSBB Central Advisor, during the opening session of the event.

IGSBB Central Advisor, Rahma Dona, explained the purpose of holding the Leadership Training.

The training began by exploring the participants’ expectations for this program and personal introduction materials guided by Muhammad Halim, who has experience leading student and community organizations at the national level as well as the Head of the IT and Marketing Communication Division of IHF.

“We don’t want to salt the ocean or teach soldiers to march. Ladies and Gentleman already have good enough modalities to become a leader. Therefore, in this training session we will actually find the ideal leadership side of each of you,” said Muhammad Halim.

Muhammad Halim, Head of the IT and Marketing Communication Division of IHF, begins the leadership training by exploring the motivation of the participants.

Furthermore, the participants also received materials on transformative leadership, building a solid organization, building teamwork, creative thinking, and organizational conflict management and action plans. In addition, they also discussed organizational patterns and communication with stakeholders and the government as well as fundraising strategies.
