STPHBK’s First Batch Graduation, Pioneers of the Future

IHF.OR.ID, DEPOK – The Character-Based Holistic Education College (STPHBK) successfully held the graduation ceremony of the Bachelor Program (S1) for the Even Semester of the 2023/2024 academic year on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Sudirman Building, Wiladatika Park, East Jakarta, DKI Jakarta. At this special moment, the first batch of graduates, STPHBK graduated 11 graduates consisting of five graduates from the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education (PG-PAUD) Study Program and six graduates from Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD).
One of the graduation participants, Natasha Maharani Hakim, was designated as the best graduate. She came from the PGSD Study Program with a cumulative achievement index (GPA) of 3.83 and a predicate with praise.
Head of the Higher Education Service Institution of LLDIKTI Region IV West Java and Banten, M. Samsuri, in his speech congratulated the graduates and appreciated STPHBK’s contribution in organizing education for the nation.
“Hopefully all of you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge you have gained on campus, in life, in the midst of society. I wish you all success and to the Character-Based Holistic Education College I thank you, for helping in the process of organizing education for the progress of the nation’s children,” he said.
The backdrop of the STPHBK Graduation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 Academic Year Undergraduate Program.
The graduation ceremony with the theme “Pioneers of the Future” is STPHBK’s offering to Indonesia. Dr. Ratna Megawangi, Chairperson of STPHBK, in her speech said that this is one of STPHBK’s offerings to the nation and state of Indonesia, especially in the preparation of quality and competitive human resources in today’s global era.
“As the first graduates, you are all witnesses to the establishment of STPHBK and pioneer educators with character who are expected to be real examples and role models for your students. You as alumni are the representation of STPHBK in the community. Your behavior in carrying out your role in society will be a reflection of this campus. Therefore, I advise you to maintain the good name of the alma mater by always thinking, saying, and doing things with character,” he added.
The graduates followed the graduation procession solemnly.
At the end of the event, Sofyan A. Djalil as an inspirational figure also motivated the graduates. He explained that the small number is not something to worry about.
Scientific Oration of an Inspirational Figure
“No need to worry. Yesterday, when we went to America, we met Mrs. Ratna’s professor, my professor too. The story is that we founded a school, STPHBK. The first students were only 13. Then, the professor said, yes, because he’s American, Christian tradition, he said, ‘Don’t worry, Ratna. The first followers of Jesus were only 12 people,’” she said.
“All great works start with one person, all great movements start with one person. Islam was started by the Prophet himself,” she added.
