The MPLS activity at SD Karakter 2 Gunung Putri began with a flower-themed drama performance.
IHF.OR.ID, BOGOR – An atmosphere full of enthusiasm filled the courtyard of the School of Characters as the new students (kindergarten, elementary, and junior high school students) participated in the School Environment Introduction Period (MPLS) for the 2025/2026 academic year on Wednesday, July 17, 2025. For Character High School (community) students, MPLS is held two days earlier, on Monday, July 14, 2025.
MPLS activities aim to introduce the environment, rules, and school culture to new students. In addition, there are also sessions on introducing the school’s vision and mission, motivation, games, and explaining the philosophy of class names. This activity also aims to build positive character and enthusiasm for learning.
The teachers wore floral costumes and accessories.
MPLS SD Karakter begins with a drama performance by the teachers. This year, the class theme was the names of flowers. The drama tells the story of the strengths and weaknesses of each type of flower (rose, carrion flower, sunflower, lotus flower, and cactus flower). The message is that everyone has flaws, but focus on their strengths.
The Principal of SD Karakter 2 Gunung Putri, Siti Maesaroh, in her speech said that this first week of admission, the first graders will carry out a familiarization week. During this week, students participate in various activities, such as arrival and return simulations, explanation of restricted areas, library simulation, introduction of class yells, simulation of adab in the worship room, initial Al-Qur’an reading test, and club (extracurricular) orientation.

Meanwhile, the Character Junior High School carries the activity name “PERMEN (Student Introduction to Cool Character)” with the theme of diamond names, namely ruby, moissanite, red beryl, and carnelian. The Character High School carries the theme “CARBON (Character Bonding)”.
For junior and senior high school students, the session with the student council brother and sister also added to the familiarity, built a family spirit among school members, and provided provisions for new students. By participating in MPLS activities, new students are expected to be ready to undergo the learning process with enthusiasm, discipline, and a sense of responsibility.
