IHF.OR.ID, MAGELANG – A total of 210 teachers from Magelang Regency and the surrounding area participated in the Road Show (Inovative Teacher Training) of the Ikatan Guru Semai Benih Bangsa (IGSBB) at the Gemilang Sports Hall, Magelang Regency, Central Java, on July 3-5, 2025. Carrying the theme “Implementation of Deep Learning in the Character-Based Holistic Education Model (CBHE)”, this event become a meeting point for new enthusiasm in the world of Indonesia education.
The training, organized by the Magelang Regency IGSBB and Indonesia Heritage Foundation (IHF), received full support from the Magelang Regency Government. This event was officially opened by Dian Ekawati Grengseng Pamuji, Chair of the Magelang Regency Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) Team, who emphasized the importance of educating children holistically–emotionally, spiritually, socially, and intellectually.
The deep learning approach referred to in this training is a fun, in-depth, and meaningful learning approach. Teachers are encouraged to explore students’ potential from every dimensions, such as emotional, spiritual, social, and intellectual. This training examines how teacher can create more lively, reflective classes that engage students’ soul through meaningful learning.
According to the Committee Chair, Rina Puji Astuti, this Road Show (Safari) is a part of a broader mission to make character education a practical practice in the classroom. Over the three days, the teachers discussed, shared good practices, and rediscovered the deeper meaning of their profession.
The Magelang Regency IGSBB Road Show is a training program that’s not just a learning forum, but a growth space for educators to transform into creative and reflective teachers. The atmosphere, filled with enthusiasm, laughter, and occasional emotion, demonstrated that the teachers weren’t just participants, but a community of learners eager to continue growing.
This training is also a reminder that educational change does not have to wait for an invitation. Change can start from teachers who learn by heart, teach with love, and guide by example. Because truly, educational change starts from the hearts of educators.
